The Norwegian Data Protection Authority writes on its web site: <\/a> \u00abUnencrypted e-mail does not go direct from sender to receiver, but via a number of various hubs before arriving at destination. The communication may be monitored or analyzed \u00bb. This explains the reason why 91 % of all cyber attacks come through e-mails<\/a> and why it is not permitted to send personal data.<\/p>\n

Following the introduction of GDPR and the new Personal Data Act, you have a duty to encrypt communication containing personal data.
