Verji’s main office is at Karmøy in Rogaland county, where the history of the Vikings assumes a central place. This is where King Harald Fairhair had his royal estate, and right outside our office is Karmsundet, which was named Nordvegen (the way north) in the old days, and which is the origin of the name of Norway.
It was therefore natural for us to choose the Norse name of Verji, which means to protect, as the name of our firm and our encrypted communication solution.
Luckily enough, we have no plans to wage war the same way as the Vikings, but we’re willing to go to war to protect our customers’ data.
