Verji’s main office is at Karmøy in Rogaland county, where the history of the Vikings assumes a central place. This is where King Harald Fairhair had his estate, and right outside our office is Karmsundet, which was named Nordvegen (northern way) in the old days, and which is the origin of the Norway name.
It was therefore natural for us to choose the Norse name of Verji, which means to protect, as the name of our firm and our encrypted communication solution.
Luckily enough we have no plans to wage war in the same way as the Vikings, but we’re willing to go to war to protect the data of our customers.
